Blodfest Line-up. Drums and Vocals - Bestial Butcher Bass and Vocals - Gru Den Grusomme Guitars and Vocals - Valeskald Blodfest was formed in 1992, at first as a projectband with members from Legion (later Wolfslair) and from Solhverv. The Blodfest line-up is still the same now, as it was back then. When Solhverv split up in 1997, Blodfest became the main band for Gru den Grusomme and Valeskald. Blodfest has made several rehearsal demos since 1992, but none of them has ever been officially released. First official release was the "Promo 2005" cd. Blodfest music is fast, aggressive and atmospheric Blackmetal. All lyrics are about our heathen forefathers, ancient Danish kings, their lives and the Pagan gods whom they worshipped. Blodfest has made 3 official demos with 9 tracks on each, The debut cd " I Kong Skjolds navn" was released in 2007 by Canadian label None More Black Records. In 2008 Blodfest recorded material for a new full-length cd entitled " Den flyr ej ilden..." and a split release with Wolfslair containing 5 tracks with each band. Both of these recordings from 2008 has been released on both cassette and cd, and will hopefully be released on vinyl too. In 2009 material for another full-length was recorded, this recording entitled "Lejres Fald" has been released on vinyl by Phlegm Productions in July 2010. Now, in mid 2010 Blodfest has just finished recording 10 tracks for another full-length, the response on making vinyl releases has been extremely good, so their next one will definitely be a vinyl LP again.
